Rooted in the lanes of Sowcarpet
Our story began with a single counter of fabric in Sowcarpet, Chennai’s oldest trading quarter. Families came for wedding silks and stayed for the conversation — about weaves, borders and the right shade for a grandmother’s blessing.
Today the counter has become a store, but the way we work has not changed. We still choose every saree and every metre of fabric by hand, and we still know many of our customers by name.
From the loom, with respect
We work with weavers and mills across India — Varanasi for banarasi brocades, Chanderi for its featherlight sheen. We pay fairly, buy thoughtfully and never rush a weave.
